Statement from the artist

Elephants feature strongly in Sairom's work. Close-ups in thick acrylics render every wrinkle of the creature's craggy hide. Big creatures jostle brightly across larger, lightly brushed canvases. Sairom's versatility paints Thailand's proud elephants in all their noble individuality.
